VICKI TILLERY

Clinical Pastoral Counselor

With the encouragement and support of the leadership at First Baptist Church Lyons and with a conviction to offer Christ through counseling, Vicki Tillery founded Truths for Life Christian Counseling in 2009. Previously, she counseled with Bobby and Betty Dixon through Christian Concepts for Living.

Vicki received a Ph.D. in Clinical Christian Counseling from Cornerstone University and is credentialed by the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA) as a Clinical Pastoral Counselor- Advanced Certified. She has earned additional Faith-Based Advanced Certification in areas of temperament, domestic violence and intervention, child and adolescence, substance abuse and addiction, sexual, and crisis therapy. Vicki is certified through the Board of Examiners for Georgia Counselors and Therapist and is a former Board Member of the Refuge (the local domestic violence shelter.) Vicki particularly feels called to help others in the areas of fear, anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, and marriage counseling.

She also has received training from the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), previously known as the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC), focusing on instruction, admonishment, and counseling using the Word of God.

In 2006, Vicki received a Master of Arts in Clinical Christian Counseling from Cornerstone University, and she also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Berry College.

Vicki has been married to her husband Michael for 44 years, and together they have four sons. Michael and Vicki have spent most of their married years in Vidalia.

Pastoral Counselor

Carson received a A.A. in Biblical Studies from Logos University in Jacksonville, FL and a B.A. in Christian Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary. He is credentialed by the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA) as a Licensed Pastoral Counselor and Temperament Therapist. Carson is a professional member of the Georgia Christian Counselors Association. He also has been ordained by the Board of Elders of Connection Church Vidalia.
